A hot-headed guy beat another young man to death over a spilled drink. A young mother of a 6-month-old boy and 67-year-old copy store owner witnessed the murder. The latter was assassinated on the day he was scheduled to testify in court. The young mother would be the next target.
Long story short, Jane, Agent Lisbon, and the team successfully took down the hitman. It turned out that the perpetrator's mother was the mastermind behind the killing.
The two mothers have different views on what a parent's love means.
Despite risking her life and her husband's objection, the young mother agreed to testify.
Of course, I'm thinking about him. But I'm also thinking about somebody else's child, too.
She chose to do the right thing, took an evil man off the street, set an example of proud bravery for her son.
The other mother said to her interrogator:
Someone like you doesn't have the faintest idea about the love a parent has for a child.
To free her guilty son, she resolved to stop at nothing--even if it meant sacrificing innocent lives.
Nowadays, we see many incidents happening because of a lack of clear boundaries. God instructss parents in the Bible to teach their children His ways.
Love the LORD your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your strength. These commandments that I give you today are to be on your hearts. Impress them on your children ... (Deuteronomy 6:4-9).
Living in a family and a community, we need to respect one another. Abusing, bullying, stealing, catcalling, and harassing are some of the results of violating the rights of others.
All parents should remember to teach their children to respect others. For
Jesus says (Luke 6:31):
Do to others as you would have them do to you.
